Two San Diego Teens Killed in Crash on I-15

SAN DIEGO, CA (October 18, 2022) – The two 18-year-old men who were killed in San Diego last Thursday in a crash on I-15 were identified by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office. They were Angel Fiero Morales and Eric Alonso.

The October 13 crash occurred when the vehicle the two teens were traveling in–described as a Honda Civic–went off the freeway and struck the back end of a disabled truck that was parked on the shoulder.

The crash site was at the Old Highway 395 crossing, the California Highway Patrol said.

Responders pronounced Morales deceased at the crash site. He was had been traveling as the passenger in the Honda.

Responders transported Alonso to Palomar Medical Center. He was pronounced deceased in the hospital.

Both men were residents of Los Angeles.

The person who was truck’s driver was not hurt in the crash, reports say. The driver has not been identified in reports.

Investigators are continuing to collect details and information to understand why the crash happened.
