Driver Crashes into Store on San Diego Mission Road
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 3, 2022) – On Thursday night in San Diego, a driver crashed into a 7-Eleven store–twice, according to authorities–and went into the store on foot. Authorities allege the driver attempted to buy beer in the store after the June 2 crash.
The incident occurred on San Diego Mission Road in the 10500 block, in the Grantville area.
The time was roughly 9:30 p.m., San Diego Police said.
The person driving the vehicle–described as a truck–crashed into the store twice, according to people who witnessed it, and then the driver tried to buy beer, it is alleged.
Responders arrived and found no one was hurt in the crash. The building of the 7-Eleven store had significant damage, reports say, where the doors and windows were smashed.
Authorities arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI. The person’s identity has not been reported.
Investigators are continuing to collect details regarding the crash.
