Conrad HIlton, 19-year-old brother to Paris Hilton, received major injuries in a car crash. He lost control of his BMW and crashed. The accident occurred near Palm Springs over the weekend.
Conrad was taken from the accident scene to Desert Regional Medical Center in an unknown condition, according to California Highway Patrol Sgt. Daniel Hesser.
Conrad was speeding when he attempted to change lanes and hit a Volkswagen, according to authorities. Conrad then lost control of his BMW and then collided with a semi truck.
Firefighters had to use to jaws of life to extricate Conrad from his BMW. Drugs and alcohol were determined to not be factors in the crash, according to police.
Prior to the crash, the California HIghway Patrol received calls about a reckless driver before the crash happened. Officers were not in pursuit at the time the crash occurred, but a California Highway Patrol helicopter did witness the crash.
