Car Hits and Kills Jamul Bicyclist on Lyons Valley Road
JAMUL, CA (June 3, 2021) – Early in the evening on Wednesday in Jamul, a vehicle struck and killed a bicyclist. The June 2 crash occurred on Lyons Valley Road, in an area between Monterey Crest Drive and Kae Crest.
The time was roughly 7:25 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
No details have been reported on how the crash occurred, nor the line of travel of the bicyclist and the vehicle prior to the collision.
Responders arrived and pronounced the bicyclist deceased at the crash site. The identity of the person, including name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported.
The identity of the person driving the vehicle has also not been reported.
Investigators are working to understand the crash, and they are in the process of collecting information to enable that work.
