Man Killed While Pushing Disabled Car in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 26, 2024) — A man was fatally struck by a vehicle early Thursday while pushing a disabled car on 7th Standard Road, near Zachary Avenue. Bakersfield Police officers responded to the scene around 12:05 a.m., where they found the man gravely injured. Despite efforts to save him, he died at the scene.
Authorities Have Yet To Release The Identity of The Victim
The victim’s identity has not yet been released by the Kern County Coroner’s Office. The driver who struck the man remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
At this time, investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash. Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Bakersfield Police Department at 661-327-7111.
