Asia Guercy and Charles Dark Killed in Perris Hill Park Crash; Suspect in Custody

Albert Perez in Custody After Allegedly Running His Wife And Friend Off The Road and Killing Them
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (February 18, 2025) – A tragic car crash early on January 26 claimed the lives of 25-year-old Asia Guercy and Charles Dark on Perris Hill Park Road near Pacific Street, authorities confirmed.
According to records from the San Bernardino County Superior Court, Guercy had previously filed a restraining order against her husband, 31-year-old Isaac Albert Perez, in 2021 due to a domestic violence incident. However, a judge denied her request.
Perez Confronted Guercy and Dark at Perris Hill Park Before Chasing Them Down
The fatal crash unfolded just after midnight when Perez confronted Guercy and Dark at Perris Hill Park. The two then drove off in a vehicle, with Perez following behind. About half a mile later, Perez allegedly rear-ended their car, causing it to crash into a chain-link fence and a narrow channel.
Guercy and Dark were pronounced dead at the scene. Following the crash, Perez remained at the location and awaited law enforcement.
Albert Perez Was Arrested At The Site of The Crash Without Incident
Authorities took Perez into custody at approximately 12:15 a.m., booking him into the West Valley Detention Center, where he is being held without bail.
Guercy’s family has since launched a GoFundMe campaign to gather support. She had been married to Perez for 11 years, and the couple shared three children.
The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
