Crash at Lincoln Avenue and Belinda Circle in Anaheim Kills Two
ANAHEIM, CA (March 24, 2020) – On Friday afternoon, a crash at an intersection in Anaheim killed two people. The March 20 incident occurred where Lincoln Avenue and Belinda Circle intersect.
The time was roughly 2:00 p.m., Shane Carringer said. Carringer is a sergeant with Anaheim Police.
Reports say a vehicle—described as a Dodge Charger, white in color—had been traveling on Lincoln Avenue and going east. The Dodge went through a light that was red and collided with a vehicle—described as a Honda Civic—that had been in the intersection where Belinda Circle is located.
Responders arrived and pronounced the Honda’s driver, and the passenger in the front seat, deceased at the incident site. Responders took a person who had been seated in the back to UCI Medical Center. The person suffered injuries that were described as serious.
None of victims who had been in the Honda have been identified, including their names, ages, gender, and cities of residence. The current condition of the surviving victim is not known.
Responders took two people who had been in the Dodge to UCI Medical Center. Both people suffered injuries that were described as moderate. Their current condition is not known.
The passenger and the driver of the Dodge were identified as boys 17 years of age. Their names and cities of residence have not been reported.
The boy who had been driving the Dodge will be arrested, according to Carringer, after he is out of the hospital.
Investigators are continuing their work to gather information regarding the crash.
