A person was killed Thursday after a driver struck a parked car in a violent car crash. Another person was hospitalized, according to police. The crash happened in Monterey Park.
The crash happened between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday. It happened in the 500 block of Monterey Pass Road, said the Monterey Park Police Department.
Ariel video shows one car smashed into a power utility pole. There was also another a car a few hundred yards away that appeared to have been ripped apart
According to the police, one person died at the scene.
The details surrounding the car crash were not immediately clear. No names or ages of those involved in the crash have been released. Also, no charges have been filed in the case as it is not clear of the person who died caused the accident.
The police did not have an explanation as to exactly why the timeline of the accident is so large. Details about the accident are scarce and are the police are continuing their investigation.
