According to authorities, a man was found shot to death in his car. Investigators say the shooting may have been a road rage attack.
The victim, who was found in a Mitsubishi Eclipse and was only described as a man in his 30s, was discovered on an off ramp of the 210 Freeway in Sylmar. The victim was found around 1 a.m. Friday, according to a report from City News Service.
The man lived nearby where he was discovered and police believe he may have been traveling to or from work. A bullet hole was visible in the driver’s side rear window.
Multiple lanes were shutdown during the investigation, but were reopened about two hours later. There are currently no identified suspects.
According to Lt. Paul Vernon in an interview with The Sacramento Bee, police received reports of shots fired in the area about two hours before the body was discovered. The police are trying to determine if the incidents are related.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.
