A 16-year-old boy was arrested after he allegedly broke into a car dealership. Police arrested the boy Sunday after he hid under a vehicle at a Toyota car dealership in Glendale.
The incident occurred after a resident called police after hearing glass break near the dealership. The Toyota dealership is located in the 1300 block of South Brand Blvd.
The name of the boy wasn’t released by police because he is a minor. The resident that called the police, which was at 9:51 p.m., said the boy entered the car lot and then exited though a broken door.
The boy reportedly ran back through the broken door, but exited quickly when officers arrived.
Officers then began chasing him near the area of Magnolia and Central avenues, said Glendale police spokeswoman Tahnee Lightfoot in an interview with Glendale News-Press. Officers eventually found the boy hiding under a vehicle.
The boy was arrested on the suspicion of burglary. He was taken to the Central Juvenile Hall in Los Angeles. It is not clear what, if any, charges have been brought against the boy.
