We have seen all the ads telling drivers not to drink and drive. We have heard multiple times from different sources and speakers about the dangers of drinking and driving. We all know about the heavy repercussions of driving while intoxicated. As drivers, many of us have been exposed to information about the hazards of intoxicated driving. Many of us frown upon it. Yet, with all the consequences and legal penalties tied with DUIs, there are still a handful few who think they are above the law.
On Friday, July 27, Rapper Krayzie Bone was arrested for drunk driving in Los Angeles near the 101 Freeway. The Bone Thugs-N-Harmony rapper was caught by police officers around 12:30 a.m. There was a routine traffic stop and cops pulled over the rapper when they suspected that he had been drinking. The sobriety tests performed on Bone proved that he indeed had been drinking and was not being a responsible driver.
When asked to take a breathalyzer, Bone blew a .10 when the legal limit in California was .08. Obviously Bone had been drinking too much and did not assign a designated driver beforehand. If Bone had not been stopped and caught by policemen, he could have done great personal injury to other drivers. Many DUI cases involve crashing into other vehicles and creating accidents that can even include wrongful death. Krayzie Bone was actually lucky that cops caught him before he endangered anybody else’s life.
After the breathalyzer test, the male singer was arrested and booked at a close by jail. Law enforcements said that Bone was cooperative and did not prove to be a problem with authorities. He was held on $5,000 bail according to the sheriff’s department.
Bone, whose real name is actually Anthony Henderson, was released later from jail on the same day. When he left the prison, he told some nearby reporters that this was the first time this has happened to him. He claims that he had learned his lesson and was heading home. From his perspective, Bone has stated that he was heading home late and just “got into a little trouble with the law.” A little trouble may be an understatement when it comes to being a DUI suspect.
Krayzie Bone split from the Bone Thugs-N-Harmony in April of 2011. He announced his split over a video that he made. The last album that the group did together was in 2010 entitled Uni5: The World’s Enemy. He is a Grammy-award winner when he had been part of the rap group.
Drinking and driving has caused many drivers and passengers to become victim to personal injury. Those who have been involved in a DUI car collision should contact a Los Angeles car accident attorney to help them file a case.
