Two Hurt Badly in Accident on Carrillo and Santa Barbara Streets
SANTA BARBARA, CA (December 6, 2024) – Two people were injured in a two-car crash at the intersection of Carrillo Street and Santa Barbara Street late Friday night.
The accident occurred around 11:30 p.m. when, for reasons still under investigation, a gray Toyota Camry collided with a black Chevy Suburban. Emergency crews from the Santa Barbara City Fire Department responded to the scene, where they worked to extricate both drivers from their vehicles.
Major Traffic Delays Were Caused By The Accident
The crash blocked the intersection, causing significant traffic delays in the area.
Both drivers were transported to Cottage Hospital for treatment of their injuries. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.
At this time, authorities have not determined who was at fault or what caused the accident. The Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident.
