Motorcyclist Dies in Crash on Highway 173 in Hesperia
HESPERIA, CA (November 1, 2024) – A tragic motorcycle accident claimed the life of a 28-year-old man on Highway 173 near Mojave River Forks on November 1. The fatal collision occurred at approximately 2:06 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
The motorcyclist, a father of two, was riding with a group of fellow motorcyclists on a blue and white Suzuki when he collided with a white 2023 Chevy Volt. Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found both vehicles at the site of the crash. Despite their efforts, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries.
Driver of Car That Killed The Motorcyclist Remained At The Scene
The driver of the Chevy Volt remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities temporarily closed Highway 173 in both directions to investigate and handle the scene.
The CHP is asking anyone with information about the accident to contact them as they work to determine the circumstances leading up to this fatal crash.
