Man Hospitalized In Critical Condition After Being Struck by Vehicle On Blackstone Ave.
FRESNO, CA (October 26, 2024) — A pedestrian was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Blackstone and Swift Avenues on Saturday evening.
The Fresno Police Department reported that the incident occurred around 8:00 p.m. near an In-N-Out Burger location. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain unclear, but officers say a man, believed to be in his 30s, was hit by a car at the scene.
Authorities Performed CPR On The Man Before Transporting Him To A Nearby Hospital
Emergency responders, including Fresno Police, administered CPR to the pedestrian before paramedics rushed him to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities have stated that there is no suspicion the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the crash.
