Suspect Detained After Hijacking Bus That Collided with Cars
Los Angeles, CA (March 20, 2024) – Anai Lindsey, a 24-year-old from Nevada, is facing charges after allegedly hijacking a Metro bus, which subsequently crashed into several cars at the intersection of Georgia Street and Olympic Boulevard in downtown Los Angeles.
The incident occurred around 11:40 p.m. on Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles police. Anai Lindsey reportedly brandished a gun at the bus driver for reasons unknown, leading to the driver losing control and colliding with multiple vehicles near The Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
Anai Lindsey Fled The Scene After The Bus Crashed Before He Was Apprehended
Following the crash, Anai Lindsey fled the scene, but law enforcement officers managed to apprehend him approximately one hour later while he was riding a bicycle.
The collision resulted in moderate injuries to the bus driver and a female passenger. Additionally, a black Mercedes-Benz sedan, an SUV, and another black Mercedes sustained various damages in the accident.
The Los Angeles police are urging anyone with additional information about the incident to come forward and contact them immediately.
