Hollywood Hit-and-Run Crash Kills 24 Year Old On Scooter
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 31, 2023)— In the early hours of Sunday morning, October 29, a fatal hit-and-run crash on Western Avenue claimed the life of scooter rider, Tommy Sanchez.
Tommy Sanchez Dies after Being Struck On A Scooter by Hit-and-Run Driver on Western Avenue
The tragic incident occurred just before 2:30 a.m. between Sierra Vista Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. A black sedan, traveling northbound on Western Avenue, collided with Tommy Sanchez as he crossed the roadway.
The force of the impact ejected Sanchez onto the roadway, leaving him vulnerable in the aftermath of the collision. Shockingly, the driver of the sedan fled the scene without providing any assistance.
Tommy Sanchez Was Struck A Second Time As He Lay In The Road
Compounding the tragedy, Tommy Sanchez was subsequently struck by a silver Lexus heading southbound on Western Avenue. The driver of the Lexus, in contrast to the hit-and-run perpetrator, remained at the scene.
Swift response from paramedics led to the transportation of Tommy Sanchez to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, he succumbed to the injuries sustained in the crash.
