Police Vehicle Collides with Motorcyclist, Killing Rider In Sacramento, CA
SACRAMENTO, CA (November 1, 2022) – Early in the evening on Monday in Sacramento, a collision involving a Sacramento Police vehicle and a motorcyclist killed the rider. The October 31 crash occurred close to where Bell Avenue and May Street intersect.
The time was roughly 8:10 p.m., Sacramento Police said.
The police officer involved in the crash was traveling to respond to a call for service of a felony in progress, the Sacramento Police Department said, and neither the emergency lights nor the siren on the officer’s vehicle were activated.
The police vehicle collided with a motorcycle.
Responders transported the motorcyclist to a hospital. He died in the hospital.
The identity of the person, including his name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.
Investigators are working to understand the crash, and the process of collecting details and information is continuing.
