Elderly San Luis Obispo Man Struck and Injured in Crash on Victoria Ave.
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (August 4, 2022) – Late in the morning last month in San Luis Obispo, an elderly man was struck and injured by a hit-and-run driver. The July 22 crash occurred on Victoria Avenue.
The time was roughly 11:15 a.m., San Luis Obispo Police said.
A driver struck and injured a pedestrian on Victoria Avenue, and the driver left the crash site without helping the victim.
Responders transported the elderly patient to the hospital for treatment. His injuries were described as not life threatening.
He was identified only as 87 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
Authorities arrested a person who is suspected of the hit-and-run crash. The suspect driver was identified as Suzanne Erwin, a resident of San Luis Obispo, 32 years old.
Authorities charged Erwin with felony hit-and-run causing injury.
Investigators are continuing their work on the crash details.
