Two Los Angeles Hit-and-run Drivers Strike Pedestrian, Killing Him in Venice
VENICE, CA (January 26, 2022) – Early in the morning on Friday in Venice, two hit-and-run drivers struck a pedestrian. The man died in the January 21 incident, which occurred where Brenta Place and Venice Boulevard intersect.
The time was roughly 12:20 a.m., Los Angeles Police said.
According to authorities, a vehicle–described as tan in color–had been traveling on Venice Boulevard and heading westbound. The tan vehicle struck the pedestrian, who had been standing in the roadway.
The driver in the tan vehicle left the crash site and did not help the victim.
The force of the crash threw the victim into the number 2 lane and a second vehicle–described as a Range Rover, light in color–also struck him.
The person driving the second vehicle also did not stop to help the victim, but fled the crash site.
Responders pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the crash site. His name, age, and city of residence have not been reported.
Investigators are searching for both of the vehicles involved in the hit-and-run crashes, and the suspect drivers.
The person who was driving the Range Rover was described as roughly 20 years old. He has dark-colored blond hair, and a slight build.
The first driver has not been described.
