One Person Dies When Car Smashes into Building After Crash in Whittier
WHITTIER, CA (November 29, 2021) – Early in the morning on Friday in Whittier, a two-car crash sent one of the vehicles to smash into a building. One person died in the incident, which occurred where South Colima Road and East Lambert Road intersect.
The time was roughly 5:30 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
Two vehicles–which have not been described–collided. The way the crash happened has not yet been reported.
One of the vehicles was propelled by the force of the crash into a building nearby. The vehicle erupted in flames, and the building was also burned.
Responders arrived and found one person was killed in the crash. The identity of the person has not been reported.
Responders transported one injured person to a hospital. The patient’s identity is also not known.
The extent of damage to the building is not yet known. Investigators are working to understand why the crash happened.
