Spring Valley Head-on Crash on Jamacha Blvd. in Injures Four
SPRING VALLEY, CA (June 8, 2021) – Late in the morning on Monday in Spring Valley, a head-on crash injured four people. The June 7 incident occurred on Jamacha Boulevard in the 9100 block, close to Kempton Street.
The time was roughly a little after 9:45 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
According to authorities, a vehicle–described as a Nissan Altima–had been heading east on Jamacha Boulevard. For reasons that are not known, the Nissan went into the lanes of opposing traffic, and collided with a Saturn SUV head on.
The force of the crash propelled the Saturn into a vehicle parked on the street, described as a BMW.
Responders transported the person who had been driving the Nissan to Sharp Memorial Hospital. The injuries she suffered were described as major.
She was identified only as 29 years old. Her name and city of residence have not been reported.
Responders transported a child who had been seated in the back of the Nissan in a car seat to Rady Children’s Hospital. The child–described only as five years old–suffered injuries described as moderate.
Two people who had been traveling in the Saturn were transported to the hospital. They injuries they suffered were described as moderate.
The driver of the Saturn was identified only as 46 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
The passenger has not been identified, including name, age, gender, and city of residence.
Investigators are working to understand why the crash happened.
