Car Hits and Kills Long Beach Woman Lying in a Parking Lot
LONG BEACH, CA (June 2, 2021) – Late in the morning on Monday, a woman was killed when a car hit her as was she lying on the ground in Long Beach. The May 31 crash occurred in the parking lot of a business area on Long Beach Boulevard in the 2500 block.
The time was roughly 10:42 a.m., Long Beach Police said.
The victim had been lying down on the ground in a parking stall, reports say, beneath blankets that were piled about her. A vehicle–described as a Scion XB–which had been traveling in the parking lot, struck her.
Responders arrived to help, but the woman died at the crash site. Her identity has not been reported.
The person who had been driving the vehicle stayed at the crash site and gave investigators his cooperation. He was identified only as a resident of Los Angeles, 27 years old. His name has not been reported.
