San Diego Crash at El Cajon Blvd. and Fairmount Avenue Injures Three
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 28, 2021) – Two vehicles collided in San Diego on Wednesday night, injuring three people. The May 26 incident occurred in the Kensington neighborhood, where Fairmount Avenue and El Cajon Boulevard intersect.
The time was roughly a little after 10:00 p.m., San Diego Police said.
Two vehicles–which have not been described–collided. The line of travel of each vehicle prior to colliding has also not been described. One of the vehicles overturned, and landed upside down.
The other vehicle had major front-end damage, reports say.
According to reports, people who were in the area of the accident said the traffic lights were not working at the intersection. They were reported to have said there was a power outage, and that may have been a factor in the collision.
Good Samaritans were reported to have offered help to the victims until responders arrived. Responders transported three people to the hospital.
The types of injuries suffered by the patients is not known. None of the people involved in the crash have been identified in reports.
Investigators are working to understand why the crash happened, and the circumstances that may have contributed to it.
