Car Lands Suspended on Guide Wire of Utility Pole after Crash in Simi Valley
SIMI VALLEY, CA (April 9, 2021) – A crash on Wednesday night in Simi Valley resulted in a car coming to a stop suspended on the guide wire of a utility pole. The April 7 incident occurred on Alta Street in the 4900 block.
The time was roughly 10:30 p.m., Simi Valley Police said.
No details have been reported on what preceded the crash. When officers came to the scene, they saw a car–described as a sedan with four doors–was sitting with its front end completely off the ground and up along the guide wire of a utility pole.
The driver was identified as Jacob Buchanan, 25 years old; he was arrested at the site on suspicion of DUI.
According to police, no injuries had been reported.
Crews cut off power to the utility pole so that work could be done to remove the car from the guide wire.
The investigation into the incident is continuing.
