Corvette Smashes into Parked Truck on Bernardo Heights Parkway in San Diego, Killing Driver
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 31, 2021) – Early in the morning on Wednesday in San Diego, a driver was killed when his vehicle smashed into a work truck that was parked at the roadside. The March 31 incident occurred in the Rancho Bernardo area, on Bernardo Heights Parkway at Avenida Venusto.
The time was roughly a little before 12:40 a.m., according to John Buttle. Buttle is an officer with San Diego Police.
A vehicle–described as a Chevrolet Corvette–had been traveling on Bernardo Heights Parkway and heading south. Reports say the vehicle drifted towards the right where there is a slight turn in the road.
The Corvette smashed into the rear-end of a work truck that was parked beside the road.
Responders transported the driver to the hospital. He was pronounced deceased in the hospital.
The victim was identified only as 23 years old. His name and city of residence have not been reported.
Investigators are continuing their work on the incident.
