Fullerton Crash Near Euclid Street Kills Passenger; Injures Driver
FULLERTON, CA (October 20, 2020) – A crash on Monday night in Fullerton killed a passenger and seriously injured the driver. The October 19 incident occurred in the vicinity of Hill Avenue and Euclid Street.
The time was roughly 7:30 p.m., according to Jon Fugitt. Fugitt is a battalion chief with the Fullerton/Brea Fire Department.
A vehicle–described as a Kia Optima–crashed, for reasons that are not known, into a tree in the area. The wrecked vehicle trapped a passenger inside.
Responders arrived and worked to extricate the passenger. They pronounced the victim deceased at the incident site. His identity, including name, age, and city of residence, has not been reported.
Responders transported the driver to the hospital. The patient suffered injuries that were described as serious.
The driver’s current condition is not known from reports. The identity of the driver has not been reported.
According to Billy Phu, who is a corporal with Fullerton Police, a contributing factor to the vehicle’s crashing may have been speed.
