Hit-and-Run Suspect Sought in Bakersfield Crash; Police Ask for Community’s Help
BAKERSIFELD, CA (April 23, 2020) – The suspect driver in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a bicyclist is being sought by Bakersfield Police. The department is asking for the community’s help to identify the suspect driver, and the vehicle that struck the victim in the April 10 incident.
Reports say authorities describe the vehicle as a 1967 model El Camino, in a faded avocado-green color. It has multi-spoke wheels and is lowered. According to Bakersfield Police, the vehicle was involved in a hit-and-run crash in the vicinity of East California Avenue and Baker Street.
The time was a little before 4:30 p.m.
A bicyclist was struck and suffered serious injuries in the crash. The driver did not stop to help the person, but fled the incident site.
