Man Killed in Collision Involving Semi-truck and Car on Highway 99 in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 25, 2020) – Julian Manney was killed early in the morning on Sunday in a collision involving a semi-truck and a car on Highway 99 in Bakersfield. The March 22 incident occurred near Taft Highway, and to the north of it.
The time was roughly 4:09 a.m., according to Kern County Fire.
Reports say a semi-truck and a sedan—which has not been described—collided on Highway 99. No details have been reported on how the collision occurred.
Responders arrived and found the semi-truck had turned over onto its side.
The person who had been driving the car died from his injuries. He was identified as Julian Manney, 59 years old.
