18 Year Old Identified as One of Three Victims Killed in Irvine Crash
IRVINE, CA (November 26, 2019) – Yoseop Jeon was identified as one of three victims who died in an Irvine crash last week; a fourth victim is in critical condition. The November 22 incident occurred on Harvard Avenue close to University Drive.
Reports say Jeon was one of four young men who had been occupants of a Mercedes-Benz that smashed into a tree early in the morning. When responders from the Orange County Fire Authority and police arrived, they found the vehicle on fire and wrapped around the tree, reports say.
Three of the young men died, including Jeon. He was 18 years old, and a resident of Torrance. A fourth victim is in the hospital in critical condition. The person who had been driving the vehicle has not been identified.
Investigators are examining details and information to understand why the crash happened. Speed may have played a role, according to reports.
If anyone has information about the incident, the person should call Chris Ostrowski, who is a detective. The number is 949-724-7074.
