Stretch of Highway 101 Through Nipomo and Santa Maria Has Five Collisions in One Morning
NIPOMO, CA (November 13, 2019) – On Tuesday morning, a stretch of Highway 101 through Nipomo and Santa Maria had five crashes. The November 12 incidents occurred in the northbound lanes, within a short time span of each other.
Reports say a crash in which a vehicle overturned was reported in Nipomo on the highway at roughly 8:08 a.m., close to the offramp for Tefft Street. It is not clear from reports how the crash occurred, the exact number of vehicles involved, the types of vehicles, and if anyone was hurt. The identities of those involved have not been reported.
At roughly 9:12 a.m., another collision occurred in the vicinity. Two vehicles were reported to have been involved in that collision. Another collision occurred at roughly 9:34 a.m., near the Santa Maria Speedway and to the north of it. Reports say two vehicles collided. The way in which the vehicles collided has not been reported.
