Two Vehicles Crash and Overturn on I-805 in Chula Vista
CHULA VISTA, CA (October 1, 2019) – On Sunday morning in Chula Vista, two vehicles crashed and overturned on I-805. The September 29 incident occurred on the freeway’s northbound side.
The time was roughly 6:00 a.m., the Chula Vista Police Department said.
Reports say two vehicles collided, but it is not known where each vehicle had been traveling prior to colliding, whether beside each other, or one in front of the other.
After the crash, one of the vehicles went off the freeway and ended up on Osage Avenue in the 1000 block. The driver of that vehicle was identified only as a woman older in age. Her name and city of residence have not been reported.
Responders transported the injured woman to a hospital. The types of injuries she suffered, and her current condition, are not known.
The person who was driving the other vehicle involved in the crash has not been identified, including name, age, and city of residence.
Neither of the vehicles has been described.
Investigators are working to gather information and details regarding the crash to understand its causes.
