Hit-and-run Driver Kills Two Men in Los Angeles’ Westmont Neighborhood
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 25, 2019) – On Tuesday night, a hit-and-run driver struck and killed two men in the South Los Angeles neighborhood of Westmont. The September 24 incident occurred where 95th Street and Normandie Avenue intersect.
The time was roughly 8:25 p.m., the California Highway Patrol said.
Reports say the two victims had been crossing Normandie Avenue on foot when a vehicle hit them. According to Steven Robinson, who is a sergeant with the California Highway Patrol, the vehicle had been going fast when it hit the victims, and the driver continued away without stopping to aid the injured men.
Responders arrived to help, but one of the men died at the incident site. The identity of the victim, including his name, and city of residence, has not been reported.
