Woman Injured in City Heights Area of San Diego by Hit-and-run Driver
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 5, 2019) – A woman was seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver early in the morning on Tuesday in the City Heights area of San Diego. The June 4 incident occurred where Marlborough Avenue and University Avenue intersect.
The time was a little before 5:10 a.m., Michael Stirk said. Stirk is a sergeant with the San Diego Police.
Reports say the victim—identified only as a woman 60 years old—was hit by a vehicle described as a pickup truck, white or light gray in color, with a roof rack. The pickup left the accident scene.
Respondents transported the woman to a hospital in the area. The injuries she suffered included a broken leg. The extent of her injuries has not been described, and her current condition is not known. The woman’s name and city of residence have not been reported.
Investigators are continuing their work to understand the circumstances and sequence events of the incident.
