Crash in Costa Mesa Near Orange Coast College Kills Motorcyclist

COSTA MESA, CA (March 20, 2019) – A collision in Costa Mesa on Tuesday evening killed a motorcyclist. The March 19 accident occurred close to Orange Coast College, where Adams Avenue and Fairview Road intersect.

The time was roughly 8:50 p.m., Patrick Wessel said. Wessel is a sergeant with the Costa Mesa Police.

According to police, the motorcycle had been heading north on Fairview Road, and a sedan had been heading west on El Camino Drive, which becomes Adams Avenue. The sedan and the motorcycle collided.

Responders arrived and pronounced the rider—identified as a man 23 years old—deceased at the accident scene. The identity of the motorcyclist, including his name and city of residence, has not been reported.

The person who had been driving the sedan cooperated with the investigators. The identity of the driver, including the person’s name, age, gender, and city of residence, has not been reported.
