Man Walking Across Street in Rancho Santa Margarita Struck by Vehicle and Injured
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA (December 19, 2018) – A man who was walking across a road in Rancho Santa Margarita in the morning on Sunday was struck and injured. The December 16 accident occurred close to where Avenida De Los Fundadores and Santa Margarita Parkway intersect, according to a spokesperson for the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The time was roughly 8:53 a.m.
According to reports, the pedestrian was hit near the Mercado Del Lago shopping center, on a section of Santa Margarita Parkway that is busy.
Respondents, including Orange County fire fighters and Sheriff’s deputies, arrived on scene and transported the injured man to the hospital. The name of the victim, age, and city of residence have not yet been reported. The types of injuries the victim suffered have not yet been reported. Lt. Ken Binning said the victim’s condition is not known at this time.
