Collision on Ventura Boulevard in Tarzana Kills One Man, Injures Another
TARZANA, CA (October 23, 2018) – A collision Sunday night in Tarzana killed one man and injured another. The October 21 accident occurred where Ventura Boulevard and Corbin Avenue intersect, Amy Bastman said. Bastman is a spokesperson with the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The time was roughly 9:15 p.m.
According to reports, two vehicles—described as a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen and a Jeep—collided. The impact from the collision caused the Mercedes to overturn.
One of the victims—identified as Gor Tovmasyan, a 26-year-old resident of North Hills—died at the accident scene, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said.
Responders took the other victim to a hospital. The types of injuries and condition of the other victim is not known at this time.
Investigators are looking into the details to determine what caused the crash.
