COVINA, CA (August 1, 2018) – A motorcyclist suffered critical injuries Monday afternoon after a collision with a vehicle in Covina.
The accident occurred where South Chaparro Road and East Covina Hills intersect. The time was roughly 12:40 p.m.
The motorcyclist, who was described as a man 22 years old from Covina, was traveling on Covina Hills Road and going west, Covina Police Lt. Trevor Gaumer said. A Lexus sedan was traveling east, and made a left turn in front of the motorcycle. The two vehicles collided.
The motorcyclist was thrown from his vehicle by the impact of the crash. He suffered injuries that were described as critical. His injuries included a broken pelvis and leg, and injuries to an arm and internal body parts.
The person driving the Lexus, described as a man 88 years old from Covina, was not injured.
Investigators from the Covina Police Department are continuing to examine the details of the crash to find out what caused it.
