San Jacinto, CA – Head-On Crash on Gilman Springs Road Kills Motorcyclist

SAN JACINTO, CA (July 10, 2018) – A man who was riding a motorcycle died Tuesday afternoon after colliding head-on with a vehicle in San Jacinto, according to California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened on Gilman Springs Road in the 19000 block. The time was roughly 2:34 p.m.
A motorcycle, a 2005 Yamaha, was heading east on Gilman Springs Road. Reports indicated the motorcycle was traveling faster than the speed limit posted in the area, which is a 45 mile per hour limit.
Reports say the motorcyclist was not able to turn at a curve. The motorcycle then crossed the double yellow line, entered the lanes that head westbound, and crashed into another vehicle. The head-on collision happened with a Chevrolet Colorado that was described as a white 2008 model.
The impact of the crash threw the motorcyclist from his cycle. Responders pronounced him deceased at the accident scene. The report does not yet identify the victim.
Donald Boring of Yucaipa was driving the Chevrolet. He was not harmed, according to the report, nor was the passenger riding with him.
Investigators are examining the details of this crash to determine its causes, and to see if drugs or alcohol played a role.
