Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a 27-year-old woman. Detectives are asking for the public’s help in finding whoever fatally shot the 27-year-old woman inside a vehicle in downtown Los Angeles.

Officers discovered 27-year-old Sonia Soto slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle in the 600 block of Santa Fe Avenue in Los Angeles late Friday night. She was found with a single gunshot wound according to a news release from the Los Angeles Police Department.

Soto was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said when paramedics with the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived. No other information about the scene or circumstances surrounding the shooting have been released. There are currently no leads on potential suspect(s) who could have committed the crime.

Investigators are working to determine if there was a motive for the crime, yet are asked for the public’s help Saturday for any information that could be helpful.

Anyone with information about the shooting are asked to contact the Los Angeles police Department at 877-527-3247, or leave an anonymous tip by calling Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.

More information will be released once it is made available from the Los Angeles Police Department. A coroner’s report is also not yet available.
