PG&E Truck Crashes into Feather River, Killing Two

Two employees of PG&E were killed Thursday afternoon in Plumas County when their work vehicle fell into the Feather River. The October 13, 2011 accident, which occurred around 4:32 p.m., affected four people, but only two were able to escape.
The employees’ work vehicle was traveling on Highway 70 when it crashed between Belden Town and Rock Dam. The vehicle plunged into the Feather River, and two employees of the company were able to crawl out. Sadly, the other two people were trapped in the vehicle as it sank in the water.
Rescuers recovered the vehicle with the bodies of the two dead.
The names of all the victims have not been released until family can be contacted.
