Man Jumps to Death on 405 Bridge

Accidents on the road can happen in other ways—not just car accidents. Sometimes there may be a stray pedestrian walking in the middle of the road, or maybe a wandering bicyclist. Either way, when another person or vehicle appears in the middle of traffic suddenly, an accident is most likely to occur.
On Saturday, October 13, a suicidal man jumped off the middle of a bridge. The incident took place in the dark of night, at around 10:30 p.m. And just recently, the identity of the man has been discovered. His family has now been notified of this sad and sudden death.
The bridge was in the city of Westminster, located in Orange County. The man jumped off the bridge overpass of Edinger Avenue, between Newland Street and Beach Boulevard. After the jump, police officials investigated the scene and found a bicycle abandoned on the shoulder of the road. It is believed that the bike belonged to the man.
No foul play is suspected and government officials are ruling the death as a suicide. However, if anyone has any additional information about the incident, they are encouraged to contact the police.
When the man jumped off the bridge, he was struck by multiple vehicles upon hitting the ground. He ended up on the southbound I405 freeway where multiple cars could not avoid hitting the body. Part of the freeway had to be shut down as policemen investigated the scene.
There is no doubt that many cars must have swerved to avoid running over the body. Thankfully, no personal injuries were resulted as no major car collisions happened. Traffic was just slowed down briefly as the body had to be removed and police authorities had to look over the incident.
Since there was no car accident, it is very fortunate that no serious personal injury was inflicted. However, if you have been involved in an accident, contact a car accident lawyer today.
