Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Metrolink in Rancho Cucamonga

A person who was trying to cross the tracks early Friday morning, October 14, 2011, was hit and killed by a Metrolink train. The 4:35 a.m. accident occurred west of the Rancho Cucamonga station, according to investigators.
Heading westbound from San Bernardino, train 301 struck the victim at Hellman Avenue. According to a Metrolink representative, the accident happened in an area where people generally don’t cross the tracks.
All 190 passengers were uninjured by the accident. Buses were called in to transport them out of the area.
