Early Wednesday morning, October 26, 2011, a woman who may have been driving drunk smashed her Mercedes Benz into the rear end of a parked Jeep, according to San Diego police. The Jeep struck another parked vehicle, an SUV, which in turn hit a light pole that then fell over.
The 1:15 a.m. accident occurred on Park Boulevard near Monroe Avenue, and ended with the light pole tumbling in front of Lestat’s Coffee Shop. Restaurant goers scattered.
