Car accidents are pretty traumatizing, what is worse is when there are innocent victims involved. Most people think that car accidents only involve other cars or passengers. However, there are other places a car can crash into. Take for instance a car crashing into a convenience store. On Friday, Oct. 5, a driver crashed his car into a nearby liquor store.

At around 10 p.m. on Friday evening, customers lined up at the checkout line and the cashier rang up orders. While that was happening, a 34-year old driver who had been drinking was driving a vehicle. Because he had been drinking and driving, the driver was not sober enough to maneuver a car. He ended up crashing the vehicle into the Carmichael liquor store, just missing the cashier and several customers.

The liquor store, which is named Kaybee Liquors, was close by to where the driver lived. The driver must have just been leaving his house when he accidentally crashed his car. The whole incident was also taken by surveillance cameras located in the store.

The video shows the store clerk about to receive payment from a customer when all of a sudden, a car crashes through the front wall. Waiting customers appeared to be stunned and amazed at what occurred.

After the crash, the driver and his passenger simply backed out and drove away from the store. However, a witness took down a license plate number which he was able to give to a police officer. Policemen were able to arrest the driver moments after the car accident.

The only person injured from the accident was the cashier. He was taken to the hospital for minor personal injuries that were caused from falling store debris.

Thankfully, no major injuries were inflicted. However, the driver is now facing felony hit-and-run charges as well as driving under the influence. If you have been injured in a car accident, make sure you contact a personal injury lawyer to help you file a claim.
