Amanda Bynes is famous for more than her Hollywood actress status. After several driving charges, alleged hit-and-run accident, and cop encounters, the young starlet has finally gotten her license suspended. The DMV has had enough with the Easy A and Hairspray actress and has taken away her driver’s license for an unspecified amount of time.

In April 6 of this year, 26-year old Bynes was charged with a DUI after she crashed into a police car. The young actress fled the scene and had to be chased by a police helicopter. Talk about bad luck. The star claimed that she was not intoxicated, even tweeting about her innocence to all her Twitter followers. Just a few days after her DUI accusation, Bynes rear-ended another vehicle while driving an Enterprise rental car. However, she was not persecuted for that incident since there was a lack of witnesses.

After one hit and run allegation, the actress took to her now-deleted Twitter to say, “I can’t help but laugh at all of you writing fake stories about me. I was not in any hit and runs. I don’t drink so the DUI is false.”

After those two incidents, the former Nickelodeon actress was charged with two misdemeanor counts of hit and runs. In August, Bynes was yet in another accident after she got into a minor fender bender with a driver but drove away without exchanging information. If she is charged with the hit and run charges, she could be facing up to one year in prison. Looks like the actress cannot seem to catch a break.

With drunk driving charges and two hit and runs on her record, it is no wonder that the DMV got fed up with Bynes and ordered her license to be suspended. She was also summoned to court to face charges where she learned that she may face up to a year in jail for all her negligent driving. Thankfully, no victims were hurt from any of the car fender benders Bynes was involved in.

Let Amanda Bynes’ story warn all drivers to be careful out on the streets and to follow any road regulations. Negligent driving can cause serious personal injury to surrounding vehicles and pedestrians. Continuous road violations can—as evident—get your driver’s license suspended. If you have been involved in a car accident because of someone else’s carelessness, consult with a personal injury lawyer today.
