1 Woman Killed in Tustin Crash

Tustin, CA – A car crash involving two women leaves one dead and one injured Friday morning.
Police are investigating obscure details of a crash that occurred at 5:00 a.m. between a sedan and a large SUV. The accident occurred near Tustin Ranch and the 5 Freeway exit. The sedan was t-boned by the SUV.
When paramedics arrived, they found unresponsive one of the victims unresponsive. Police had been attempting to treat the victim before paramedics arrived. It was too late, she died on the scene. The other driver was transported to a local hospital where she will be treated for unknown injuries.
Both vehicles were totaled. The front, driver’s side wheel was torn off the sedan and landed about 100 yards from the scene of the accident. Airbags were deployed in both vehicles.
California Highway Patrol shut the south bound exit of the 5 Freeway at 7:00 a.m. The exit is expected to be reopened at 10:00 a.m.
Police are interviewing witnesses of the crash to get a better understanding of the accident.
