Vehicle Hits and Kills Young Boy in Neighbor’s Driveway in Yorba Linda
YORBA LINDA, CA (December 27, 2018) – A boy who was not quite 2 years old was hit and killed by vehicle in the driveway of a neighbor in Yorba Linda. The December 26 accident occurred on Casa Oro in the 4000 block, located on the town’s west side, according to Cory Martino. Martino is a lieutenant with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The time was roughly 4:50 p.m.
Reports say that the vehicle had been backing out of a driveway when it struck the little boy. Martino said the parents of the boy were present at the scene of the accident. They went with the boy when responders took him to Children’s Hospital of Orange County. He was pronounced dead in the hospital.
The identity of the boy has not yet been reported. The identities of his parents have also not yet been reported.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the investigation. The driver’s identity has not yet been reported.
Investigators are looking through the details, information, and evidence to find out why the accident occurred. No details have been reported on what led to the accident.
