Protestors Struck in Yorba Linda When Driver Moves through Crowd
YORBA LINDA, CA (September 28, 2020) – On Saturday, authorities arrested Tatiana Turner on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with a vehicle that was driven through a crowd of protestors in Yorba Linda. Turner is alleged to have driven a car where people were gathered at a protest, striking two of them.
The September 26 incident occurred at a gathering for a Black Lives Matter protest and counter-protest.
According to reports, the protestors and counter-protestors had engaged in an altercation, and police ordered them to disperse. Reports say according to a witness, identified as Anthony Bryson, a crowd had blocked the car Turner was driving, and would not let her leave. Bryson is reported to have said that Turner’s windshield had been broken.
Reports say video recorded the crowd surrounding Turner’s car. Her car moves forward, and the back windshield breaks as she leaves. A number of people pursued her car as she left.
Reports say two people were hurt in the incident. One victim–identified only as a man–suffered a leg that was broken. His name, age, and city of residence have not been reported.
Another victim–identified only as a woman–suffered injuries that were described as moderate. Her name, age, and city of residence have also not been reported.
Investigators are working to collect information regarding the incident. No other details are currently available.
