Vehicle Crashes onto Sidewalk in Woodland Hills, Injuring Man and His Children
WOODLAND HILLS, CA (December 28, 2020) – Early in the evening on Sunday in Woodland Hills, a vehicle crashed onto a sidewalk and struck a man and his children. The December 27 incident occurred on Ventura Boulevard.
The time was roughly 6:45 p.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
Two vehicles–described only as a blue sedan and a silver sedan–collided before the silver sedan veered onto the sidewalk. The manner in which the crash occurred, and the line of travel of each vehicle prior to colliding, has not been described.
Reports say the silver sedan struck a man and his two children, one of whom was in a stroller. The identities of the family members–including the name of the father and the ages of the children–have not been reported.
Responders arrived and transported the father and his children to the hospital. They also transported one of the drivers. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, none of the patients suffered injuries that were described as life threatening.
The drivers’ identities has also not been reported. Investigators are working to understand how and why the crash happened.
