Los Angeles Woman Killed When Run Over by Semi Truck, While Lying in Echo Park Vons Parking Lot
LOS ANGELES, CA (October 4, 2022) – Early in the morning on Tuesday in Los Angeles, a semi truck ran over a woman who was lying on the ground in a Vons parking lot.
The October 3 crash occurred in the neighborhood of Echo Park, in the vicinity of North Alvarado Street and Montana Street.
The time was roughly 12:45 a.m., according to Detective Campos. Campos is with Los Angeles Police.
According to reports, Campos indicated the truck driver went into the parking lot and made a U-turn.
The woman was lying on the ground in the parking lot, and the big rig went over her.
Reports say the driver was not aware a person had been run over, and was flagged down and told.
According to Campos, people who were at a taco stand in the vicinity saw that something was on the ground in the parking lot, but had thought they only saw a pile of debris.
The identity of the victim–including her name and age–has not been reported.
In order to understand the incident, investigators are continuing their work to collect details and information.
